Children Academy Bulanala Hosted Enriching Summer Camp Focused Holistic Development

From May 13th to May 18th, 2024, Children Academy Bulanala played host to an engaging and enriching summer camp, marking a highlight in the academic calendar for both students and teachers alike.

Recognizing the importance of utilizing the time before summer vacations to foster growth and exploration, the summer camp aimed to offer participants a diverse range of experiences, focusing not only on academic skills but also on personal development.

“I used to be nervous speaking English, but after the camp, I feel much more confident,” a student said. “The summer camp was like a breath of fresh air! I learned so much and had a blast doing it,” he added.

Over the course of five days, students were immersed in a myriad of activities designed to ignite their creativity and curiosity. From clay art sessions to tattoo making workshops, from exploring different types of do-it-yourself (DIY) art projects to conducting science experiments, the camp provided a platform for students to explore their interests and talents in a supportive environment.

“I never knew I could make such cool stuff with clay! The summer camp really brought out my creative side,” another student mentioned

In addition to these hands-on activities, students were also given the opportunity to hone their dance skills, adding a fun and energetic dimension to the camp experience. However, beyond the realm of arts and sciences, the camp placed a strong emphasis on personality development and spoken English, recognizing the importance of equipping students with essential life skills for success in the future.

Reflecting on their time at the summer camp, participants expressed immense joy and satisfaction, citing the valuable lessons learned and the friendships forged along the way. Teachers, too, lauded the success of the camp, noting the positive impact it had on students’ confidence and overall well-being.

As the curtains closed on yet another successful edition of the summer camp, the Children Academy Bulanala community looks forward to future opportunities for growth, learning, and exploration, cementing its commitment to providing holistic education that goes beyond the confines of the classroom.
