Widespread discontent and allegations of irregularities have marked the aftermath of the NEET-UG 2024 results. Subham Kumar, despite scoring 700 out of 720, saw his rank drop significantly to 2321, attributing it to the provision of grace marks that benefited others.

Arundhati, similarly, scored 683, but her rank exceeded expectations due to the influx of students benefiting from grace marks, causing concern about the fairness of the process. Anjali Sharma echoed these sentiments, lamenting her lower-than-expected rank despite deserving her score.

Vipin Kumar, founder and MD of Goal Institute, criticized the National Testing Agency (NTA) for its handling of the exam, citing suspicious practices like opening registration windows after the deadline and releasing results early. He highlighted concerns about the arbitrary allocation of grace marks and questioned the transparency of the process.

The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) intensified demands for a CBI probe into alleged paper leaks and mismanagement following the Supreme Court's notice to the centre and the NTA. ABVP national general secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla raised suspicions about the high number of students scoring perfect marks and the timing of result announcements, hinting at political interference.

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police launched an investigation into the alleged question paper leak and arrested 13 individuals, recovering incriminating evidence. Confessions from some arrested individuals and the recovery of pre-dated question papers fueled suspicions of an organized racket behind the leaks.

The NEET-UG 2024 results have sparked outrage and calls for accountability, with concerns raised about the integrity of the exam process and the impact of irregularities on deserving candidates. As demands for a thorough investigation grow, the spotlight remains on the NTA's handling of the situation and the need for transparency in future examinations.
