Rabindra Bharati University and West Bengal government-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata received bomb threats via email, prompting immediate police and bomb squad responses.

The threats were later determined to be a hoax, according to officials. Despite thorough searches, no explosives were found. The Kolkata police's cyber section has launched an investigation to trace the source of the threatening emails.

Authorities have assured the public not to panic, emphasizing that adequate measures are being taken, with personnel remaining stationed at both institutions for added security.

On the same day, a similar incident occurred at SSG Pareek PG College in Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The college also received bomb threats via email, purportedly from a group named 'KNR,' which had previously issued threats to schools in May. Police conducted a search operation at the college but found nothing suspicious. Efforts are underway to identify and trace the sender of these emails.

Both incidents have heightened concerns and vigilance among law enforcement agencies, underscoring the importance of cybersecurity and prompt response to potential threats.
