Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) students are facing a bizarre semester disruption - a nightmarish millipede infestation. Upon returning from summer break on July 1st, students were met with an unpleasant surprise: their classrooms and dorms were teeming with insects.
The situation quickly escalated, with students rightfully complaining about the uninhabitable conditions.
Social media offered a window into the unsettling reality. A student (@rishabbhsharma) shared a photo of a student protest demanding a solution. Another account (@lawmemesociety) described the infestation as "inhumane" and alleged that previous pest control efforts were ineffective, with some students even experiencing asthma attacks from the chemicals used.
Taking student concerns seriously, the GNLU administration announced the immediate closure of the campus and a shift to online classes starting July 15th. An email was sent to students explaining the need for professional pest control measures and prioritizing student safety during this process.
