Three MBBS students from SN Medical College in Jodhpur—Vikas Bishnoi, Mahesh Bishnoi, and Om Prakash Jat—have been arrested for allegedly involving a milk van robbery, while two others remain at large.

The incident unfolded at the gates of MDM Hospital, where the students intercepted a milk van on a rainy night. According to the police, the students, purportedly motivated by a sense of adventure, accosted the van driver, manhandled him, and forcibly took away several crates of milk along with Rs 4,600 in cash.

The driver promptly reported the incident, leading the police to recover the abandoned van about five kilometres away, with two milk crates missing. CCTV footage corroborated the sequence of events, identifying the perpetrators as medical students.

SHO Devendra Singh emphasized that the students had orchestrated the robbery impulsively, seizing an opportunity near their hostel amid adverse weather conditions. The arrested students are facing charges related to the theft and disturbing public peace. They are slated to appear in court as part of the legal proceedings, as reported by Edex Live.

This incident has sparked concern and raised questions about the behaviour and discipline among students pursuing medical education. Authorities are investigating further to apprehend the remaining suspects and ensure appropriate legal consequences for all involved.
