The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has extended the registration deadline for the WBJEE 2024 counselling process to July 21, giving students an additional five days to complete their registration.

Students can register on the official website, [wbjee.nic.in](https://wbjee.nic.in), by providing their application or roll numbers, academic and personal details, and paying a registration fee of Rs 500. Both the payment and choice-filling processes must be completed by the new deadline.

The results for the first round of seat allotment will be announced on July 23. Notably, students who have secured a rank in JEE Main 2024 are also eligible to register for the WBJEE counselling process, widening the opportunity for more aspirants to secure seats in top engineering colleges.

The WBJEE 2024 counselling process consists of three rounds: allotment, upgradation, and mop-up. During these rounds, candidates will be allotted colleges and courses based on their preferences, the rank secured in WBJEE, and the availability of seats.

This extension comes as a relief to students who were unable to register earlier due to various reasons. It allows them more time to gather the necessary documents and complete the registration process, ensuring they do not miss out on the opportunity to secure a seat in their desired college.

The WBJEEB has urged all eligible candidates to take advantage of this extended deadline and complete their registration as soon as possible. Delaying the process may result in missing out on preferred choices during seat allotment, especially in highly sought-after courses and institutions.

To register, students should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official WBJEE website: [wbjee.nic.in](https://wbjee.nic.in).
  2. Click on the registration link for WBJEE 2024 counselling.
  3. Enter the required details, including application or roll number and academic and personal information.
  4. Pay the registration fee of Rs 500 through the available payment methods.
  5. Complete the choice-filling process by selecting preferred colleges and courses.

The extended deadline also means that students have more time to carefully consider their options and make informed decisions about their future academic paths. This additional time is invaluable because the counselling process is a critical step in securing admission to top engineering colleges.

The WBJEE 2024 counselling process is a crucial opportunity for students aspiring to pursue engineering in West Bengal. By extending the registration deadline, WBJEEB has ensured that more students can participate in the process and secure a seat in their desired institution.

Students are advised to regularly check the official WBJEE website for any further updates or changes in the counselling schedule. Completing the registration and choice-filling process promptly will help secure a better chance at the desired allotment in the upcoming counselling rounds.
