A severe cheating scandal unfolded during the Rajasthan State Open School Board examinations at Panji Ka Bera Government Higher Secondary School in Kolu Rathod, Phalodi district.

Acting on a tip-off, the vigilance squad encountered locked school gates upon arrival, compelling them to scale walls to access classrooms. They discovered teachers illicitly writing exam answers on blackboards, a blatant breach of exam protocols. The officials documented these infractions on camera, exposing an organized cheating operation involving teachers providing extensive assistance to students.

Further investigation revealed that students possessed significant cash, with some admitting to paying teachers for unfair advantages. Shockingly, certain teachers were also found impersonating students during the exams. Among them were Anasuya and Komal Varma, identified from the science stream, who facilitated cheating and participated as proxy candidates in the examinations.

Law enforcement swiftly intervened, sending a police team to the scene where two suspected impersonators managed to evade capture. Legal action has been initiated against principal Rajendra Singh Chauhan and ten implicated teachers from the school. The Block Education Officer in Phalodi confirmed that immediate disciplinary measures had been taken, including suspending six third-grade teachers and one librarian, with pending actions against the principal and an absent observer.

This incident has underscored severe concerns about the integrity of examinations and raised questions about the supervision and accountability within educational institutions in Rajasthan.
