Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) donated 40 laptops to 20 government schools across East Singhbhum district to empower students and bridge the digital divide. This initiative builds upon the success of their program last year, where 75 laptops were distributed to 15 schools.

The laptop distribution ceremony, a collaborative effort between MTMC, the District Education Department, and the Jharkhand Education Project, was held at the college's TMA Pai Hall. The event underscored the program's significance with the presence of high-ranking officials. The District Education Officer, District Education Inspector, and an Assistant Program Officer from the Education Department joined MTMC's Dean, Director, and Head of Outreach Department.

Equipping students with essential technological skills is a core objective of the initiative. The donated laptops will provide greater access to computer science education, preparing students for an increasingly technology-driven future. This program fosters educational growth and ensures that rural and urban students can navigate the digital landscape.

“We are proud to continue our efforts in supporting the educational needs of the East Singhbhum District,” said the Dean of MTMC. “We believe that every student deserves access to quality education, and we are committed to doing our part in bridging the gap,” he added. The Head of Outreach echoed the Dean's sentiment, emphasizing their unwavering dedication to achieving educational equity.

This initiative transcends the realm of medicine, highlighting MTMC's commitment to the community it serves. As a renowned institution under the esteemed Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence, MTMC goes beyond medical excellence. This program exemplifies their dedication to fostering well-rounded educational opportunities for all students in the region.
