Final year LLB students at Osmania University’s College of Law can expect their results today, August 3, after a delay due to a technical glitch and outstanding mess dues. Principal Dr. D. Radhika Yadav informed EdexLive that the initial results were released on July 31, but several students' results were withheld, causing significant distress.

Dr Yadav assured that the issue was a technical glitch and confirmed that the results would be announced today. Additionally, she mentioned that the hard copies of the results, or result memos, would take about a week to be issued by the examination branch, likely around August 9 or 10.

Significant hostel and mess dues were one major issue leading to the withholding of results. Dr. Yadav highlighted ongoing efforts to improve student facilities and the repeated notices sent to clear dues, which many students ignored. She mentioned that the mess had been closed for the past six months due to unpaid dues, but scholarship holders were accommodated with mess facilities. She urged paying boarders to clear at least 20% of their dues, noting that the monthly mess expenses for 100 students amount to around three lakh rupees.

Students had expressed frustration and concern over the withheld results, especially 20 students—12 from the fifth year and eight from the third year—who received 'WAL' (withheld) instead of pass or fail statuses. The announcement of the results today is expected to bring much-needed clarity and relief to the concerned students, alleviating fears about their academic future.
