The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 registration dates have been officially announced, providing prospective candidates with key details about the application process and exam schedule.

The registration window for GATE 2025 will open on August 24, 2024, and remain open until September 26, 2024. Candidates who miss the initial deadline can still apply until October 7, 2024, but will incur a late fee.

The GATE 2025 exams are scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exams will be held across multiple cities in India and select cities abroad, offering flexibility for candidates from various locations.

To be eligible for GATE 2025, one must be enrolled in the 3rd year of an undergraduate degree program. He/She should have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities. Registration Fees for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates are ₹900 per test paper (without a late fee) and ₹1400 per test paper (with a late fee). All other candidates, including foreign nationals, pay ₹1800 per test paper (without a late fee) and ₹2300 per test paper (with a late fee).

Candidates are encouraged to apply within the regular registration period to avoid the additional late fee charges. GATE is a highly competitive exam, and successful candidates can gain admission to postgraduate programs in prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, and IISc, as well as secure opportunities in public sector undertakings (PSUs).
