Mangala Muduli from Odisha's Bonda tribe is set to create history as the first doctor from his community. After successfully clearing NEET 2024, he secured a seat at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, earning widespread recognition.

Raised in a remote village with limited healthcare and poor connectivity, Mangala's journey has been marked by determination and resilience. From a young age, he dreamt of becoming a doctor to improve the healthcare situation in his community. After completing his education at Mudulipada SSD High School and pursuing +2 science at SSD Higher Secondary School Baladiaguda, Mathili, he cleared NEET on his first attempt.
Mangala credits his success to the unwavering support of his teachers. Recognizing his potential, they guided him through the preparation process, with one teacher even providing a mobile phone for his studies. Mangala's dedication never wavered despite the challenges of studying in a village without mobile towers, as he often climbed trees to download study materials. His science teacher, Utkal Keshari Das, played a pivotal role, offering coaching and accommodation to ensure his success. Though the comforts of city life initially overwhelmed him, Mangala persevered with his teacher's encouragement.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Mangala on his achievement. Both leaders praised his determination and called him an inspiration for the tribal community, emphasizing how his story embodies the power of hard work and willpower. Mangala's success is a beacon of hope for others facing similar challenges.
