The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially launched the registration process for round one of the NEET-PG 2024 counselling, effective today at 5:00 PM. This comes despite ongoing legal challenges regarding transparency issues in the exam.

In a notice released today, the MCC urged candidates to stay updated via their official website, www.mcc.nic.in, as a detailed counselling schedule will be published soon. The registration marks a crucial step for many candidates eager to secure placements in postgraduate medical programs.

At the same time, a petition filed by NEET-PG candidates is being heard in the Supreme Court, demanding the release of the exam’s answer key and response sheets. Candidates argue that without this information, they cannot adequately assess their performance or contest any discrepancies.

The Supreme Court has also issued a notice to the National Board of Examination (NBE) and the Union of India, seeking explanations regarding last-minute changes to the exam pattern. This has added to the anxiety among candidates, who feel these alterations could affect their chances.

As the counselling process gets underway, candidates are advised to remain vigilant about updates and deadlines, navigating this uncertain period with care. The outcome of the Supreme Court's deliberations may have significant implications for the future of NEET-PG candidates.
