QS Global Rankings 2025: Fourteen Indian MBA Programs Recognized, IIM Bangalore Leads

QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the global higher education and business school analyst, has released its QS Global MBA Rankings for 2025, recognizing 14 full-time MBA programs from Indian institutions, including three new entries. The rankings highlight India’s growing prominence in business education worldwide.

Among the newcomers, IIM Kozhikode debuts in the 151-200 band, while the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad and Somaiya Vidyavihar University feature in the 251+ band. These new entries further elevate India's profile in global business education.

Despite dropping out of the global top 50, IIM Bangalore remains the top-performing Indian institution, securing the 48th spot. Three other Indian MBA programs made it to the global top 100: IIM Ahmedabad (53), IIM Calcutta (59), and the Indian School of Business (78). Each institution improved its standing from the previous year’s rankings, showcasing India's growing competitiveness.

Several other Indian institutions have shown remarkable progress in the rankings. IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Udaipur advanced to the 151-200 range from the 201-250 bracket in the previous year. These improvements reflect the quality and global appeal of Indian MBA programs.

Institutions like XLRI- Xavier School of Management, International Management Institute Delhi, and the Management Development Institute Gurgaon maintained their positions in the 201-250 range. New entrants such as IMT Ghaziabad and Somaiya Vidyavihar University underscore the diverse range of Indian business schools gaining global recognition.
