Chief Minister Hemant Soren laid the foundation for three residential schools to provide quality education to underprivileged students and enhance education in the state. This initiative is part of Jharkhand’s broader efforts to improve educational access and align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 goals, emphasising inclusivity and equal educational opportunities.
The newly established residential schools will cater to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those who face challenges in accessing education due to socio-economic barriers. By setting up these institutions, the state government aims to bridge the gap in educational accessibility and ensure that students from marginalised communities have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education. These schools are expected to provide a conducive learning environment focusing on holistic development, allowing students to excel academically and build a strong foundation for their futures.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren reiterated the state government's commitment to education during the foundation stone-laying ceremony. He underscored the importance of creating opportunities for all students, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. He noted that these residential schools align with the NEP 2020's vision of promoting inclusive development and ensuring that every child, irrespective of their circumstances, has access to quality education. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to Jharkhand's efforts to improve educational outcomes and empower its youth.
According to News18 reports, Chief Minister Soren also took the opportunity to recognize and felicitate the state's board exam toppers, acknowledging their outstanding academic performances. By honouring these high-achieving students, the government hopes to inspire other students across the state to pursue academic excellence and raise the bar for educational achievements in Jharkhand. The ceremony celebrated the toppers' success and emphasised the importance of hard work, dedication, and academic perseverance.
With these initiatives, Jharkhand is taking crucial steps to strengthen its educational infrastructure and foster a culture that nurtures young talent. Establishing residential schools and recognising academic achievers are pivotal in creating a more equitable and robust education system that can serve as a model for other states.
