Delhi University retracts circular on faculty workload amid backlashes

Delhi University has withdrawn a controversial circular proposing an increase in the workload of senior faculty members following significant opposition from the academic community. The initial plan aimed to revise faculty responsibilities. However, it met with swift and widespread criticism, as staff voiced concerns over the potential impact on their already heavy schedules and overall well-being.

Faculty members argued that the proposed changes would have further strained their workloads, affecting their ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
