UKPSC Lecturer Recruitment 2024: Key Dates And Eligibility Criteria Released

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has opened recruitment for 613 Lecturer positions under Group C for both General and Women branches through the Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education Service Examination 2024.

The official notification, released on October 18, 2024, is available on the UKPSC website at psc.uk.gov.in. Eligible candidates can apply online, with the registration window open from October 18 to November 7, 2024. Detailed reservation guidelines for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-SM categories will be outlined in a separate advertisement on November 18, 2024.

To be eligible, candidates must hold a Master’s degree from a UGC-recognized university and have completed a two-year Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE-approved institution. Age requirements stipulate that candidates must be between 21 and 42 years old as of July 1, 2024, with age relaxations up to 45 years for OBC candidates and 48 years for SC/ST applicants.

The application fee varies by category. General, OBC, and EWS candidates will need to pay Rs. 172.30, while SC/ST candidates are required to pay Rs. 82.30. PwD candidates can apply with a reduced fee of Rs. 22.30. Payment can be made through net banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI.

The selection process includes a written examination and an interview. The written test will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will last for three hours. Candidates shortlisted from the written test will be invited for a personal interview. Final selection will be contingent on successful document verification.
