South Goa to get new Government Nursing Institute in next academic year

To the healthcare sector, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has announced the launch of a new government-run nursing institute in South Goa, which is set to begin operations in the upcoming academic year. The institute aims to provide quality nursing education and address the region's growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals.

The new nursing institute will be situated in South Goa and will offer a range of programs to cater to the varying needs of aspiring nurses. These programs include BSc Nursing, Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, and Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM). Health Minister Vishwajit Rane emphasised the importance of the new institution in addressing the shortage of skilled nurses in South Goa. “This institute will provide quality nursing education and address the shortage of skilled nurses in South Goa,” Rane said, highlighting the state’s commitment to improving healthcare education and services in the region. The new facility will complement the existing Institute of Nursing Education in Bambolim, Goa, further strengthening the state's capacity to train healthcare professionals.
