Central University of Gujarat Offers 50% Reserved Seats for SC/ST Candidates

Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, commonly referred to as BBAU, is in Lucknow. This university was founded in 1996 and works to develop higher education. In 2016, the university set up a satellite campus in Amethi. There are 99 courses taught at the satellite campus, Amethi, and the primary campus, Lucknow by the university. Including Diploma, Integrated PG Programme, UG, PG, M.Phil, and Ph.D. The university has a health center with a doctor's availability round the clock. There is a 50% reservation of seats in BBAU for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe candidates. There is a 10% seat reservation for economically weaker section (EWS) candidates.

Admission to the university takes place under CUET

For getting admission in the university, the students are required to appear in the CUET (Common University Entrance Test). Admission is provided based on marks scored in this examination. Study facilities is available from graduation to PhD level here.

At present, the university runs 17 courses at the undergraduate level, 44 courses at the PG level, 2 diploma and three integrated PG courses, 9 courses at M.Phil level and 24 PhD courses. BA in graduation fee is 12 to 15 thousand rupees, whereas the B.Tech or BBA in new-age courses fees is 50 thousand to 1.2 lakh rupees, while the postgraduate fees are 8 thousand to 10 thousand rupees semester wise. Moreover, this cost elevates up to 1 lakh rupees for new-age programs.

Mostly IAS, journalists studied under this university. A lot of students who have studied from this university are working in different fields of the country right now. Among them there is Rajesh Kumar, who is serving in the Indian Administrative Service. Notorious journalists Ravi Singh Raikwar, Abhishek Gautam, Pranjul Srivastava and Pranjal Dixit are notable. Besides studies, special care is also taken for sports and cultural activities in the university.

The primary mission of the university is to deliver quality education and offer opportunities of higher education to the students belonging to weaker sections of the society. The library in this institution possesses over 50,000 books and the digital library facility is also present. Students are provided with the facility to work on an hourly basis in the university after academic work. Students are also provided with some compensation in return. Several students in the university are earning money from this and paying their fees by themselves.
