Asmi More, a student from DAV Public School in Thane, has made headlines by scoring an impressive 98.8% in the CBSE 10th examinations.
This remarkable achievement has positioned her among the top performers in the region, highlighting her dedication and strategic approach to her studies.
Expressing her elation, Asmi shared her journey and the emotions surrounding her success. "To be very honest, this is the first time I am scoring 98.8%. For the past two years, I was in the range of 95, 94, 96. I wanted to score more than that, more than 97%. I think I am very happy right now. I am overwhelmed," she said.
Asmi’s success did not come without challenges and a significant shift in her study strategy. Initially, she approached her studies with a slower pace, not engaging in additional hard work. However, her preliminary exam results served as a wake-up call. "After I got my prelim results, which were very hard, I decided I needed to give in and do more hard work. During the board exams, I would not get up from my chair without completing the task I had taken on," she explained. This disciplined approach played a crucial role in her outstanding performance.
Her preparation strategy included a balanced focus on languages and core subjects. Being a Marathi student, Asmi dedicated time to honing her writing skills in both English and Marathi. Additionally, she utilized reference books for subjects like mathematics, science, and social science to ensure comprehensive understanding and practice.
Asmi’s academic journey is far from over. With her eyes set on the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), she aims to crack the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and secure a place at IIT Bombay. "I have already taken admission in Gravity Classes, IIT JEE. I am aiming for IIT Bombay," she stated with determination.
