Confusion and frustration cloud India's medical entrance exam, NEET-UG, as hundreds of students face a re-test. The National Testing Agency (NTA) flagged irregularities in the original exam, prompting a re-exam for 1,563 students who received "grace marks." These students' scores were deemed questionable, and their original scorecards were cancelled.

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announced the Intermediate 1st and 2nd year Advanced Supplementary Examination results on Monday. Students eager to know their scores can now access the results by visiting the official TSBIE website at tgbie.cgg.gov.in. By entering their hall ticket numbers, students can quickly view their results.

In a concerning incident, at least 20 students from the Upgraded Primary School at Duru in Latehar district fell ill after consuming water from the school tank. The students were immediately transported to the nearby community health centre, where medical professionals reported their condition to be stable.

In a bold and decisive move, the Ministry of Education has removed Subodh Kumar from his position as the chief of the National Testing Agency (NTA). This comes after a series of controversies marred the NEET-UG 2024 and UGC-NET exams, resulting in widespread criticism and significant student outrage.

More than half of the candidates eligible for the NEET-UG retest did not appear for the exam. Out of 1,563 registered candidates, only 813 attended the test at six centres across four states and a Union Territory.
