Her father voiced suspicions that his daughter might have been murdered in a different location and her body placed in the seminar hall, where she was later found.
The initial investigation, handled by the Kolkata police, has since been taken over by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Several people, including the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, have been questioned. The family, however, remains dissatisfied, citing concerns over potential mishandling of evidence and expressing a strong belief that the whole truth has yet to emerge.
