The Applications are now open to apply for the ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Program 2025 in Switzerland. It is a Fully Funded International Program by Huawei and ITU. The ITU GCYLP 2025 accepts all the Nationals from across the globe and successful Participants will get a chance to go to Geneva, Switzerland to attend one week global Development Program in July 2025. The Objective of Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP) is Empowering, Connecting, Engaging and inspiring Young Digital Leaders and Changemakers. The Program favors applicants who come up with innovative Community Development Digital Projects. The ITU will provide Practical Training, Sessions, and Financial Support to 30 Fellows to execute digital development projects within their varied communities. The Program Covers:

Global Development Week: Physical event in Geneva, Switzerland, July 2025 (ITU and Huawei sponsor the Expenses).

Virtual Mentorship & Training: Offered by ITU and Huawei.

Project Grants:

  • First USD 5000 to all selected fellows.
  • Extra USD 5000 for projects with high impact.

Project Focus: Execute Self-chosen Digital Development projects.

Eligibility Criteria

The Program is open to all the Nationals.

  • Age: Are you between 18 and 28 years old?
  • Impact: Are you driven to lead digital projects that create positive change in your community?
  • Education: Do you have a background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from a university or similar institution, either currently or recently?
  • Language: English Speaking Skills required.

Timeline

  • Initial Review: ITU/Huawei staff shortlist candidates.
  • Shortlist Stage (May 2025): Shortlisted candidates provide ID, video, and references within one week.
  • Final Selection (June 2025): GCYLP Jury selects 30 fellows.
