The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up for the 2025 board exams for Classes 10 and 12, expected to begin in February 2025.
While the exact dates are yet to be announced, CBSE focuses on ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the examination process. To achieve this, all exam centres must have CCTV cameras installed and meet specific criteria such as sufficient seating capacity, proper lighting, ventilation, and dedicated rooms for securely storing sensitive exam materials.
To prevent cheating and malpractice during the exams, CBSE will employ jammers and metal detectors at all centres, and biometric attendance will be mandatory for students. The exam pattern will continue incorporating internal assessments and project evaluations, focusing more on objective-type questions to enhance the assessment process. Students appearing for the exams must follow strict guidelines, including wearing their school uniforms and refraining from bringing electronic devices into the exam hall. CBSE has warned that strict action will be taken against malpractice.
As per a Hindustan Times report, the registration process for the 2025 board exams took place between August and September 2024, with schools submitting their Lists of Candidates (LOC) by November 2024. Admit cards are expected to be released 10 to 15 days before the commencement of the exams. The results for the Class 10 and 12 board exams are anticipated to be declared between May and June 2025.
