The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) 2024 commenced on Thursday, marking the start of a crucial phase for candidates aspiring to secure teaching positions in state schools. The exam, scheduled to run in multiple sessions, will continue until October 14, 2024.

Candidates must strictly adhere to the reporting times: 8:00 AM for the morning session and 1:00 PM for the afternoon session. The exam durations are set from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM for the morning slot and from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM for the afternoon slot. Each session will last for 2.5 hours.

Candidates must bring specific documents to the exam centres to facilitate a smooth examination process. These include their admit cards, valid ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN card, or Driving License), and a ballpoint pen. The authorities have implemented strict rules against carrying electronic devices, bags, or food items inside the examination premises.

Candidates can access their admit cards by logging in with their registration numbers and date of birth on the official AP TET website. It is crucial to verify all details on the admit card, such as the candidate's name, exam centre location, date, and session timings, to avoid any discrepancies on the exam day.

The AP TET 2024 consists of two papers:

- Paper I is for candidates aiming to teach classes I-V.

- Paper II is for those targeting teaching positions for classes VI-VIII.

Each paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 150 marks. Key subjects include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language (specific to the medium of instruction), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Candidates can contact the AP TET helpdesk at 08625-224292 or visit the official website for any questions or assistance. As the exam progresses, candidates are urged to strictly follow all guidelines to ensure smooth conduct and give their best efforts in securing their teaching positions.
