The 13th edition of the Military Photo Exhibition, an integral part of the Navy Week celebrations for 2024, is set to take place on November 23-24, 2024.
Hosted by the Southern Naval Command in Kochi, this year’s exhibition will feature a photography contest in collaboration with the Ernakulam Press Club. The contest invites photojournalists from across India to submit their best work that reflects the activities and events of the Armed Forces under the Ministry of Defence.
This contest offers a unique opportunity for photojournalists to showcase their talent and highlight the dedication, valour, and professionalism of the military. The eligible photographs must have been captured between November 20, 2023, and October 31, 2024. Each participant can submit a maximum of three photographs, allowing them to display a range of their work.
To ensure high-quality submissions, photographs should be presented in a standard size of 12x18 inches at a resolution of 300 DPI. Each photograph must also include a suitable caption in English that provides context and enhances the viewer's understanding of the image. The first prize winner will receive ₹15,000, while the second and third prizes are valued at ₹7,000 and ₹5,000, respectively. The winners will be announced during the exhibition on November 24, 2024, at the Centre Square Mall in Kochi, providing an excellent platform for recognition within the community.
