The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced an important revision to the Class 12 board exam schedule, aimed at accommodating students planning to take the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025.

The exams, originally scheduled to commence on February 1, 2025, will now begin on February 10, 2025, and are set to conclude on either February 24 or February 28, 2025.

The updated timetable is now available on the board's official website, gbshse.in. Students are encouraged to download the PDF document and familiarise themselves with the new exam dates and timings to ensure they are well-prepared. Most examinations will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, although certain selective papers will have shorter durations.

As per Live Mint reports, in making these adjustments, the Goa Board aims to prevent scheduling conflicts for students who are also JEE Main 2025 aspirants. To further facilitate this, practical exams for the general stream are set to be conducted on February 8, 2025, while practical exams for National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) subjects will take place on February 10, 2025, under the supervision of the National Skill Development Council.

Students are advised to arrive at their designated examination halls by 9:00 AM; latecomers will not be allowed to enter and sit for the exams. The board has emphasised that no exams will be postponed, even if they fall on public holidays, urging students to be mindful of the revised schedule.

Goa Board officials have strongly encouraged students to regularly check the official website for any further updates regarding the examination process. This proactive approach aims to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams and to assist students in managing their time effectively as they prepare for both their board exams and the JEE.

As the exam dates draw nearer, students are reminded to stay focused on their studies and utilise available resources to prepare thoroughly. With these changes, the Goa Board is committed to providing a fair opportunity for all students while balancing the rigorous demands of both board examinations and entrance exams. The board's adjustments reflect its dedication to supporting student success in their educational journeys.
