The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released crucial updates for students appearing in the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in 2025.
According to the latest notification, practical examinations for both classes will commence on January 5, 2025, while theory exams are scheduled to begin on February 15, 2025. These timelines allow students ample opportunity to strategize their exam preparation effectively.
For schools operating in winter, practical exams and internal assessments will take place between November 5 and December 5, 2024. Meanwhile, schools resuming after the winter break will begin practicals on January 1, 2025. A detailed subject-wise theory exam date sheet is expected to be released in December 2024.
The CBSE circular outlines vital information regarding subject codes, marks distribution for theory, practicals, project assessments, and internal assessments. The appointment of external examiners for practical and project evaluations, along with details about practical answer sheets, has also been specified. Students are advised to consult the official CBSE website for detailed instructions.
Attendance Requirements and Preparation Tips
To be eligible for the 2025 board exams, students must maintain a minimum attendance of 75%. However, the board has clarified that this requirement may be relaxed by up to 25% for students with valid medical reasons, participation in national or international sports events, or other serious circumstances. Proper documentation must be submitted to avail this concession.
