UPSC ESE Topper Himanshu Thapliyal’s Inspiring Path to Success

Himanshu Thapliyal, a young engineer from Uttarakhand, has achieved the prestigious All India Rank 1 in the 2024 UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE), showcasing the power of perseverance and dedication.  

Born and raised in Lucknow, Himanshu pursued his B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication from NPSEI, Pithoragarh. He later earned his M.Tech in Nanotechnology from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NIT-K), demonstrating an early commitment to academic excellence.  

Himanshu’s success is the result of meticulous planning and hard work. While completing his M.Tech, he began preparing for the ESE with a focused strategy that included mastering core subjects, solving previous years’ question papers, and staying informed about current events. Despite challenges along the way, Himanshu remained determined and balanced his academic commitments with rigorous exam preparation. 

His story has become an inspiration for aspiring engineers across the country. Himanshu advises candidates to approach the examination with discipline, efficient time management, and a clear understanding of the syllabus.
