Scheduled to run from May through July, the program offers a flexible internship duration ranging from one to two months, accommodating the schedules of interested candidates.

Applications are now being accepted through the dedicated SURE website. The deadline is March 10. 

A total of 200 internship positions are up for grabs, with a notable allocation of 50 spots reserved exclusively for female applicants, as outlined on the institute's official website. Successful candidates will receive stipends based on the duration of their internship. Those selected for the entire two-month program will be compensated with Rs 15,000, while interns opting for a one-and-a-half-month commitment will receive Rs 10,000. The stipend stands at Rs 7,500 per month for participants choosing the one-month duration. It's emphasized that no additional benefits will be provided beyond the stipulated stipend amount.

The selection process involves an initial screening of applications followed by online interviews conducted department-wise by respective mentors or faculty members. As per reports, the tentative announcement for the shortlisted candidates is slated for April 15.

Eligibility:

  1. Only non-IIT Hyderabad can apply for this internship programme.
  2. Applicants must be in their first year of MSc (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology), in their first, second, or third year of BTech or BDes (in any branch), or in their third or fourth year of an integrated BTech/MTech program.
  3. Candidates should rank in the top 20% based on CGPA or percentage scores in all previous years of their college studies in their respective disciplines, as certified by the Head of the Institute/Principal at the time of application.
  4. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time or regular students at the time of application and throughout the internship period.
  5. Candidates are expected to commit to full-time work for the duration of the internship, with a minimum of one month. Part-time or online internships are not permitted.

Accommodation:

  1. Hostel accommodation will be provided for interns in IITH student hostels. However, interns will be responsible for covering their mess charges.
