In a heartening display of determination and familial pride, daughters of Delhi Police officers have carved their names in the annals of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023.

Amidst the backdrop of familial legacies and personal aspirations, these young women have scripted stories of resilience and achievement that resonate far beyond the precincts of their homes.

Among these remarkable achievers is 26-year-old Pratibha, daughter of a Delhi Police assistant sub-inspector, who clinched success in her second attempt at the UPSC CSE. With aspirations to serve the nation as an IPS officer, Pratibha's journey stands as a testament to familial support and personal resolve. Hailing from Gurugram, she credits her family's unwavering encouragement and conducive study environment for her success. Armed with a BSc and MSc in mathematics, Pratibha left a banking career to pursue her dreams, culminating in an all-India ranking of 356th.

Joining Pratibha in this prestigious roster is Shristi Dabas, daughter of another Delhi Police ASI, who secured a remarkable 6th rank in her maiden attempt. While balancing her responsibilities as an officer at the Reserve Bank of India in Mumbai, Shristi's dedication and self-study propelled her towards success, much to the pride of her family in Hiran Kudna village.

Rupal Rana, daughter of an ASI stationed at Tilak Marg police station, emerged victorious despite personal tragedy. With grit and determination, Rupal persevered through the loss of her mother mere months before the final interview, honouring her memory by clinching the 26th rank in the UPSC CSE. Her poignant tale of resilience amidst adversity serves as a reminder of the human spirit's indomitable strength.

Similarly, Udit Kadiyan, the son of a Delhi Police sub-inspector, harboured dreams of donning the coveted IPS uniform. With unwavering focus and dedication, Udit's relentless pursuit of his goal bore fruit with an impressive 375th rank in the UPSC CSE, affirming his resolve to serve the nation.

In a noteworthy addition to this constellation of achievers, DANIPS officer Manoj Kumar, currently serving as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Dwarka, scripted his own success saga. Balancing the demands of service with the rigours of examination preparation, Kumar's perseverance and guidance from his elder brother, an IAS officer, propelled him to the 120th position in the UPSC CSE.

As these inspiring narratives unfold, they underscore the invaluable role of familial support, personal determination, and unwavering resilience in pursuing excellence. Beyond individual triumphs, they symbolize the collective aspiration to serve the nation with honour and distinction, exemplifying the ethos of the Delhi Police and the spirit of the Indian Administrative Service.
