The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) unveiled the results of the Class X and XII examinations, on May 24, marking a significant milestone for thousands of students across the state. According to a report by PTI, the results revealed a pass percentage of 87.54% for Class X and 79.27% for Class XII.

Out of a total of 33,739 candidates who appeared for the examinations, an impressive 29,534 students successfully cleared the Class X (Madhyamik) examination, registering a pass percentage of 87.54%. This marks a notable increase from the previous year's pass percentage of 86.32%.

Similarly, 20,095 students have passed the higher secondary examination, reflecting an average pass percentage of 79.27%. While this figure is slightly lower than the previous year's result of 83.32%, it still represents a commendable achievement for the students.

TBSE president Dhananjoy Gonchowdhury provided insights into the results, stating, "The pass percentage for Class X is 87.54%, while that in higher secondary was 79.27%." Additionally, Gonchowdhury announced that the board had made the decision to forego the tradition of declaring a merit list this year.

Explaining the rationale behind this decision, Gonchowdhury noted, "This year, we have not released the top-ten merit list, a tradition upheld by the board for several years, as it may undergo changes following the rechecking of papers. However, it will be published at a later date."

The announcement of the examination results marks both an end and a new beginning for the students, paving the way for future endeavors and opportunities.
