Job opportunities in the information technology (IT) sector experienced a notable surge in two major Indian cities: Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Despite a nationwide decline of 3.6 percent in overall IT job postings, the employment scenario in these cities showcased a remarkable resilience.

Data from Indeed, a leading employment portal, revealed a substantial uptick in job postings in Hyderabad, soaring by an impressive 41.5 percent. Similarly, Bengaluru witnessed a significant surge of 24 percent in job opportunities within the IT domain. These figures underscore the burgeoning prominence of these cities as hubs for IT professionals, drawing talent from far and wide.

The report, released by PTI, also shed light on a considerable rise in job seekers' activity. Clicks on job listings witnessed a substantial spike, escalating by a remarkable 161 percent in Hyderabad and 80 percent in Bengaluru. This surge in interest among job seekers highlights the enduring allure of IT careers and the growing recognition of these cities as lucrative destinations for IT professionals.
