CSIR-NIScPR and Gurugram University sign MoU for collaborative research and science communication

On September 24, 2024, the CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) and Gurugram University formally collaborated by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance research and science communication.

This partnership highlights key focus areas, including science communication, science, technology, and innovation (STI) policy research, traditional knowledge, and interdisciplinary research. By leveraging CSIR-NIScPR's 70-year legacy in science communication and policy research, the MoU seeks to open new avenues for both institutions to serve society effectively.

The signing ceremony featured several dignitaries, including Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh Roushan, the Controller of Administration at CSIR-NIScPR; Dr Rajiv Kumar, the Registrar of Gurugram University; Dr Sarala Balachandran, Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry at Gurugram University; Dr Dwivedi, Head of Nursing at Gurugram University; and Dr Rakesh Yogi, Chairperson of Media Studies at Gurugram University. Their presence underscored the importance of this collaborative effort and the collective commitment to advancing scientific inquiry and communication.

As part of their partnership, CSIR-NIScPR and Gurugram University will co-host the International Conference on Communication and Dissemination of Traditional Knowledge (CDTK-2024) on November 13-14, 2024. This conference aims to explore the critical role of traditional knowledge in contemporary scientific practices. It will serve as a platform for researchers and practitioners to share insights and best practices. The last date for early bird registration for the conference is September 30, 2024, allowing participants to secure their spots at this significant event.
