Silver Oak University is set to organise a seminar on “Quality by Design” on September 19, 2026, bringing together pharmacy students and faculty for a session focused on quality practices in the pharmaceutical field.

The seminar is being organised by the university’s Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) in association with the College of Pharmacy. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Silver Oak University.

The session will feature Ms. Shah Dhwani, Assistant Professor at Parul College of Pharmacy and Research, as the expert speaker. The seminar is expected to introduce participants to the idea of building quality into pharmaceutical processes through design and planning.

The theme of the event, “Quality by Design,” reflects the importance of quality-focused approaches in pharmaceutical education and practice. The event poster carries the message “Better Quality for a Healthier Tomorrow,” highlighting the connection between pharmaceutical quality and better health outcomes.

Mr. Mohit Kumar Prasad, Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Silver Oak University, is the coordinator for the seminar.

Bahra University, Shimla Hills, will host a two-day national conference on Advanced Materials and Simulation Techniques for a Sustainable Future (AMSTSF 2026) on September 10 and 11. The conference is being organised by the university's School of Basic Sciences in association with the Electron Microscope Society of India (North Zone).

The conference will be held at the campus of Bahra University, Waknaghat, Solan, HP. The event will feature discussions on advanced materials, characterisation techniques, computational modelling and simulation, nanotechnology, energy materials and sustainable technologies, the organisers said.

The programme will feature keynote and invited speakers, technical sessions, oral and poster presentations, and academic networking opportunities. The conference aims to give a forum for the presentation of research and discussion of advances in materials science and simulation techniques, the organisers have said.

The conference will also feature research presentations from the participants. The organising team announced that original research contributions on the conference themes were invited from researchers, faculty members, scientists, industry, postdoctoral researchers and students. The abstract deadline was August 15 and the registration deadline was August 31.

Selected research papers will also be published, the organisers have announced. The papers that meet the required standards and pass the appropriate peer-review process will be considered for publication in Interactions, a Springer Nature journal, through the journal's editorial review process. The announcement states that the journal is Scopus-indexed and that the journal will be published in a subscription or open access format, depending on the process and author's choice.

The conference is taking place in the context of the increasing research interest in the development of advanced materials and computational methods for use in energy and sustainable technologies. The organisers have pinpointed materials science, simulation, nanotechnology, energy materials and sustainability as topics to be covered at the event.

The conference will also offer opportunities for researchers and students to share ideas and build academic and research links, the announcement added, said Bahra University. A total of 11 initiatives are being held by the students at JECRC University, providing an opportunity to the students to engage in their interests outside the classroom walls and involve themselves in the university life to a greater extent. The registrations for it are now open.

JECRC University has invited students with interest to delve into the available initiatives and select the one which suits their interests and aspirations. The application deadline is 8th September. The registration link provided by the university can be used by the students to explore the opportunities and register.

About the Initiative

The initiative of JECRC University with 11 different platforms has been designed to provide opportunities for its students to explore areas in their lives which are outside their main areas of study and to connect with activities relating to leadership, creativity, innovation and service, entrepreneurship and community.

These experiences can also be a chance for the students to try something new, connect with others and gain responsibility throughout their college career.

Law College Dehradun in association with Uttaranchal University, is set to organise an insightful session on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), focusing on trademarks, designs and patents, on September 7, 2026. The session will be held as part of the institution's Boot Camp: Creating Launchpad for Corporate Entry, which focuses on imparting practical knowledge to students for the corporate world.

The session is being organised by the Corporate Resource Center (CRC) in collaboration with TRD, Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University. It will emphasize the role of IP protection and educate students on legal protection of ideas, innovations and creative work.

IPR Session at Law College Dehradun

Mr. Vikrant Singh Rana, Managing Partner, S.S. Rana & Co., Advocates will be the speaker at the IPR session at Law College Dehradun. The session will focus on trademarks, designs and patents, providing students with a chance to learn about the importance of legal protection for individuals, businesses and innovators and the key aspects of IP.

IP can be a key factor in the commercialisation of an idea or innovation and the creation of something with enduring value. Therefore, the knowledge of the basics of trademark, patent and design protection can be beneficial to law students as well as to those interested in entrepreneurship, innovation and corporate careers.

Boot Camp to Focus on Corporate Readiness

The session is a part of Boot Camp: Creating Launchpad for Corporate Entry at Law College Dehradun. These sessions can also be beneficial for students to relate the concepts they learn in the classroom with the industry and professional world.

IPR knowledge is of special relevance for law students in fields like corporate law, business, entrepreneurship and legal advisory. Aspiring legal professionals should be aware of the various types of intellectual property protection, including trademarks, patents, and designs, and how they can contribute to safeguarding innovation and creativity.

The session will be held at Law College Dehradun on 7th September, 2026. It will give students a chance to hear about IP rights from a practicing lawyer and to get a real-world view of how to protect ideas in a business world that is increasingly innovation-driven.

Silver Oak College of Nursing is set to organise a debate competition on September 9, 2026, focusing on the role of effective communication in preventing medical errors and improving patient safety.

The debate, titled “Effective Communication: A Key to Preventing Medical Errors,” will give nursing students a platform to share their views on communication in healthcare and discuss its connection with patient safety. The competition will also encourage students to strengthen their communication skills and participate in meaningful discussions around healthcare practices.

Semester 2 and 4 Students to Participate

The competition will be open to Semester 2 and Semester 4 students of Silver Oak College of Nursing. Through the debate format, students will have an opportunity to express their perspectives, build confidence and engage with an important issue in healthcare.

The event is being coordinated by Ms. Simran Trivedi, Nursing Tutor, with the theme also highlighting the importance of speaking with purpose and communicating confidently for patient safety.

Debate to Focus on Patient Safety

Effective communication is an important part of interactions within healthcare settings, where clear exchange of information can support coordination and patient care. The debate will allow students to explore this topic from different perspectives while developing their ability to communicate and present arguments effectively.

The competition will be held on September 9, 2026, from 2:30 PM onwards at Room No. 502, A Block, Silver Oak University.

The event is expected to combine student participation, communication skills and healthcare-focused discussion, giving aspiring nurses an opportunity to reflect on an issue closely connected with professional practice and patient safety.
