On 11th of July 2026, Alliance University organized Tulu Yakshagana Workshop and Demonstration Programme at Kalataranga, which brought together students, artists, researchers and cultural enthusiasts to explore and appreciate the rich heritage of Tulu Yakshagana and Indian performing arts.

The programme presented to the participants an opportunity to know about the traditional folk art through an interactive theatre and live demonstration, underlining cultural and artistic values.

The workshop was titled as “Legacy of Tulu Yakshagana”

The workshop was an introduction to the Tulu Yakshagana traditions, wherein they learnt about the tales, music, costumes and performance style of Tulu Yakshagana, which has been handed down from generation to generation.

The live performance enabled the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the distinctive elements of the traditional folk theatre and its contribution to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the region.

A Cultural Highlight was held for the Indian cultural heritage

The organisers said the programme was organised to create awareness about the Tulu heritage and to create an interest in the performing arts of India. The workshop provided an opportunity for the participants to experience the art form and to learn about its history and culture.

Students, Artists and Researchers Participated

The event saw the involvement of students, artists, researchers and culture lovers who had a glimpse of the cultural values and art forms of Tulu Yakshagana.

The university say the workshop was a continuation of the quest of the Alliance University to foster cultural education and create avenues for meaningful interaction with the traditional art forms of India.

The event will bring together startup founders, innovators, entrepreneurs and incubation leaders for discussions on startup incubation, innovation, emerging technologies and entrepreneurship while highlighting AIC Techno's mission to incubate more than 500 startups.

Growing Focus on India's Startup Ecosystem

With innovation becoming a key driver of economic growth, startup incubation centres are increasingly helping entrepreneurs access mentorship, industry guidance and innovation support. Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) is hosting a three-day national seminar on "Samkaleen Hindi Patrakarita: Parampara, Parivartan Aur Bhavishya" (Contemporary Hindi Journalism: Tradition, Change and Future) from 9th to 11th July 2026. The seminar is being organised to commemorate the 200 years of Hindi journalism.

The programme will be organised at RNTU and will include the participation of renowned personalities from all over the country who will discuss various aspects of modern day Hindi journalism.

The seminar will start from 9th July with the book launch of "Swabhiman Ke Naam". The first session will be held on 10th July followed by discussions on different aspects of literature, Hindi journalism and science journalism.

Noted personalities like Suresh Pachouri, Priyavrat, Kripashankar Chaubey, Neelesh and Devendra Pandey will be present in various sessions of the seminar, the organisers said.

The last day of the event, July 11, will be devoted to the theme of journalism in literature, art and intellectual discourse. The programme will also feature discussions on issues pertaining to Hindi journalism.

The three-day seminar is designed to give a platform to the experts to discuss the tradition, transformation and future of Hindi journalism, which is celebrating two centuries of Hindi journalism.

The School of Hospitality at GNA University is currently running a 6-Day Online Faculty Development Programme on "Integrating Outcome-Based Education (OBE) with Innovative Teaching Practices in Hospitality and Tourism Education". The programme, which started on July 6 and will run through to July 11, 2026, will include academics and teachers who will be sharing insights on the latest trends in hospitality and tourism education.

As part of this programme, expert speakers from top-notch academic institutions will be sharing their experiences and insights on the following topics: Outcome Based Education (OBE), innovative approach to teaching, curriculum design, assessment and technology integration in hospitality and tourism education.

Adamas University participated in Shikshar Gourab 2026, organised by Republic Bangla on June 18, 2026, at Taj Raajkutir, Kolkata. The event was attended by academicians, industry leaders, policymakers and distinguished personalities to discuss the evolving education scenario and the emerging importance of technology.

At the event, Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, Hon'ble Chancellor of Adamas University, was honored among the other dignitaries for his contribution to the field of higher education and academic leadership. The recognition recognized his ongoing dedication to academic excellence, institutional development and quality education.

Prof. (Dr.) Ankita Chakravarty Bhattacharya, Senior Vice President – Admissions and Academic Operations, of Adamas University gave her inputs on the rising significance of Artificial Intelligence in the field of education in the panel discussion 'Kritrim Buddhimottar Bikash'.

She spoke about the importance of AI in the transformation of education, the impact of AI on students, and the future of AI in education. She also emphasized the importance of developing future-ready skills in students and ensuring the use of technology does not replace thinking, creativity and human-centered learning.

The discussions at Shikshar Gourab 2026 were centered on the need for collaboration among academic institutions, industry, and policy makers to create an education ecosystem that can adapt to the changing needs of future generations and technological advancements.
