AURO University's School of Hospitality Management is to host Bake N Sip 2.0, an interactive culinary event that will provide a hands-on experience of baking, beverage making and hospitality. The event will take place at the university campus, Table 101 and Creations Lab (Bakery) from 2:00 PM onwards on 19 June 2026.

The event is designed to connect aspiring bakers, hospitality enthusiasts, food lovers, and students eager to learn more about culinary arts in a hands-on manner. Bake N Sip 2.0 will be a hands-on experience for the attendees to learn the culinary techniques from the expert faculty members from the School of Hospitality Management, unlike the traditional demonstration.

Another major feature of the show will be live baking demonstrations, where visitors can watch professional bakers at work and gain insights into the techniques used to make bakery products. They will also learn how to create mocktails, understand how to prepare a drink, how to combine flavours, how to present and how to adhere to hospitality service standards.

The event is a reflection of AURO University's commitment to an experiential learning approach which involves learning through doing. The University aims to provide a stimulating learning environment for students and visitors, giving them first-hand experience of culinary and hospitality practices, reflecting the realities of the industry.

Hospitality and culinary education is a field that is gaining increasing popularity among students who are interested in a career in hotel management, bakery and confectionery, food and beverage services, event management and tourism. These are great opportunities for people to learn about these fields and meet faculty, and to get hands-on experience with the professional hospitality world, through industry-focused events like Bake N Sip 2.0.

The organisers say places are limited and that it is advisable to book early. Students from diverse academic fields and those who love baking, culinary arts and hospitality management are expected to attend the showcase.

AURO University's efforts to foster skill-based education and industry exposure have been continued through various initiatives such as Bake N Sip 2.0, where students acquire hands-on skills while gaining knowledge. The event will provide a dynamic platform for participants to learn, create and explore opportunities in the booming hospitality industry.

University is a full experience and can be a time of new friendships, new challenges, new discoveries and much else. In these special first moments, CHRIST University is hosting “Freshers Unfiltered” – a creative content competition where the first year students can tell a story in a real way about their campus experiences using digital media.

The theme of the campaign is "Your Campus Story Begins Here" that invites freshers to share and create their experience with the university on reels, videos or carousel posts. The purpose of the contest is to give students an opportunity to express themselves and to document the early years of their university experience.

The competition is a great venue for students to communicate their routine on campus and classroom experiences, as well as friendships, extra-curriculars, and personal development. The program is part of the University's efforts to promote creativity, engagement and a sense of belonging among the newest members of the University community.

Contestants should submit their entries to the official content team of the university before 30 June 2026. The entries that are chosen will have a chance to win great prizes and may also be posted on CHRIST University's social media outlets, where the students can share their stories with other students.

The competition recognizes the increasing importance of digital storytelling in the higher education sector, as students share their experiences and engage with others through social media and visual media. The university hopes to provide a more accurate picture of campus in the eyes of the freshers, and a voice for students in a pivotal transitional phase.

In the University's view, each student's experience is different and that early impressions and experiences on campus can have a lasting impact. CHRIST University is inviting the students to mark these and add to the collective story of campus life through “Freshers Unfiltered.”

As the deadline for submitting Freshers' work draws near, the students are being encouraged to be creative, pick up the camera and present the stories which constitute their beginning at CHRIST University. It will provide a chance to see some student life and provide a forum for new voices to be heard and celebrated.
