Avantika university in association with MIT Institutes, Vishwashanti Gurukul World School and Edugild is set to host the national-level hackathon in Delhi and Pune this month. The MIT India Hackathon 2026 will gather young innovators, aspiring entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts from all parts of India to help them solve industry problems and create market-ready solutions.

The hackathon will be held in two phases as a national level initiative with MIT India. The Qualifier Round will be conducted at the Industry Institute Reconnect Summit (IRS) 2026 at Pune on August 21-22, 2026 and the National Grand Finale will be held at the Industry Institute Engagement Summit (IES) 2026 at New Delhi on October 24, 2026.

The competition is designed to give students the chance to take their innovative concepts and turn them into a real product by the help of mentors, interaction with industry and solving practical problems.

The idea behind the hackathon is that academic researchers and industry professionals are brought together to create solutions based on technology to real-life problems of industry and society, the organisers said. Students will get an opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of leading industry experts, and also get a good exposure of the booming startup and innovation ecosystem in India.

The MIT India Hackathon 2026 is the biggest draw in terms of the prize money, which is a total of ₹25 lakh, comprising a cash prize of ₹7 lakh. The top 30 teams in Pune qualifiers will be tentatively booked for the National Grand Finale in New Delhi where they will fight for the top honours.

In addition to the monetary awards, finalists will be given a variety of possible benefits related to their industry. AWS Certification Vouchers valued at ₹10,000 will be awarded to every participant that qualified for the Grand Finale and AWS Cloud Credits valued at up to ₹20,000 will be awarded to each of the finalist teams to enable them to develop their product and innovate using AWS.

The organisers added that the participants will also gain industry mentorship, networking and national exposure, and that the projects will be judged by a panel of 48 industry experts from academia, technology, and industry.

The initiative is a continuation of MIT India's mission to empower learners to learn through innovation and experience by putting classroom knowledge to the test. The hackathon will help participants develop a range of skills that are highly sought after in today's technologically-driven economy, such as product development, teamwork, design thinking and entrepreneurial problem-solving.

On the occasion of the students graduating from the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), has announced the 6th Convocation Ceremony for Online Education to celebrate an important milestone in the academic journey of eligible students. The convocation program will take place on Saturday, 12th September 2026 at the Manipal University Jaipur campus.

The ceremony will start at 8:00 AM IST, and will involve the students' families, faculty, university officials, and graduates to celebrate the end of the students' academic journey.

The University has invited eligible graduates to register for convocation and indicate their preferred method of receiving their degree. Students may attend the ceremony and be presented with their degree on stage, or they may have their degree sent to their Registered Communication address.

The university says that the response deadline for the graduates is August 1, 2026, to ensure the students' preferred option is available.

The purpose of the convocation is to acknowledge the diligence and perseverance of the students who have completed their academic studies by using the University's online education system. Silver Oak College of Nursing, Silver Oak University, will organise a Pedagogy Session on Clinical Simulation Strategies on August 8, 2026, aimed at strengthening simulation-based teaching practices among nursing educators and bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice.

The session has been designed to help nursing faculty explore innovative clinical simulation techniques that enhance teaching effectiveness, improve practical learning outcomes, and prepare students for real-life healthcare situations. As simulation-based education becomes an integral part of modern nursing education, the programme will focus on methods that combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical decision-making.

The pedagogy session will be led by Ms. Renu Tiwari, Assistant Professor at Silver Oak College of Nursing, who will share practical approaches to integrating clinical simulation into nursing education. The session is being coordinated by Mr. Hemang Modi, Assistant Professor, Silver Oak College of Nursing.

Scheduled from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at A-302, A Block, the programme is exclusively designed for nursing faculty and aims to encourage the adoption of learner-centred, evidence-based teaching methodologies in healthcare education.

Clinical simulation has emerged as one of the most effective teaching tools in nursing education, enabling students to practise patient care, critical thinking, communication, and clinical decision-making in a safe, controlled environment before entering real hospital settings.
