Exciting developments have emerged for candidates preparing for the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) 2025, which is set to take place in the second week of January. The Education Department has officially approved the conduct of this crucial recruitment examination, introducing several significant changes in its format and procedures that candidates should note.
Krishna Kunal, Administrative Secretary of the Education Department, announced that preparations are underway to implement these modifications to enhance the examination's structure and effectiveness. Innovations from the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be integrated into the REET format. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will oversee Level 1 and Level 2 eligibility tests, ensuring a streamlined process for candidates. Notably, there will be no increase in examination fees this year, with candidates expected to pay Rs—550 for one paper and Rs. 750 for both.
A fundamental change in the 2025 REET examination is the introduction of five answer options instead of the traditional four. Candidates must be diligent in selecting answers, as failing to fill in all options could result in negative markings. If a candidate leaves more than 10% of questions unanswered, they will be deemed ineligible for the exam. Negative markings will apply even if candidates leave up to 10 questions unanswered, emphasizing the need for careful attention during the test.
In a notable update, candidates’ photographs will be included alongside their roll numbers on the OMR sheet, enhancing identification and security measures, pending final approval of this feature.
To register for the exam, candidates should visit the official website at rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in, where they can complete their applications by filling in personal and educational details, uploading necessary documents, and submitting the required fees. With these changes, the REET 2025 is poised to be a significant event for aspiring teachers in Rajasthan.
