APG Shimla University is hosting Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Katha Gyan Yagya 2026 from 8th May-14th May, at its campus temple creating an environment that encompasses spiritual elements together with devotional practices and bhajan singing and positive energy. 

The religious ceremony which started on 8 May 2026 unites studets and faculty members together with devotees and guests and local residents who participate in devotional activities and Katha Pravachan and Kalash Yatra and Prasadam Seva and spiritual discourses delivered by Param Shraddhey Swami Shri Nivasacharya Ji.

The daily Katha Pravachan sessions are being led by Param Shraddhey Swami Shri Nivasacharya Ji, who is sharing teachings focused on devotion, self-discipline, humility, and karmayoga.

During the first three days of the spiritual gathering, Swami Ji explained how spirituality and positive thinking can help individuals overcome stress, confusion, and negativity in today’s fast-moving world. He also emphasised that spiritually aware youth guided by discipline and values can contribute towards building a stronger and culturally rich society.

The discourse sessions highlighted that devotion is not limited to rituals alone, but is also connected to compassion, balanced living, good deeds, and emotional wellbeing.

Assam down town University hosted its Spring Fest (বসন্ত উৎসৱ) today as part of the Rongali Bihu celebrations, bringing together music, culture, and student enthusiasm on campus. The event featured a special live performance by popular Assamese artist Abhishruti Bezbaruah.

Ganpat University will conduct a career guidance seminar in Ahmedabad which will assist students and their parents to discover possible career paths after they complete their 10th and 12th grade studies.

The seminar will take place at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukharjee Hall Vastral Ahmedabad on 10 May 2026 (Sunday) from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

IILM University students delivered an impressive performance at the Galgotias University Sports Fest 2026 held from 26 to 28 April, bringing home top positions in pickleball and chess.

The university celebrated the achievements of students who represented the institution across multiple competitions during the fest, highlighting the growing importance of sports participation alongside academics in higher education.

Among the standout performers was Rukh Acharya, a BBA student, who secured the championship title in Pickleball Singles. Adding to the success, Anushka Tyagi from B.Tech Computer Science Engineering also emerged as Champion in the Pickleball Singles category.

The university also recorded another podium finish in pickleball through Shreyansh Jain, a B.Tech CSE student, who won the bronze medal and secured third place in the singles category.

In chess, Vishesh Maurya from B.Tech CSE achieved second position, adding another major accomplishment to the university’s overall performance at the event.

APG Shimla University will host a Mega Health Checkup Camp together with a Blood Donation Camp on May 5, 2026, to promote preventive healthcare and community well-being in collaboration with Atulaya Healthcare. 

Mega Health Checkup Camp with Advanced Testing Package

The university and Atulaya Healthcare will offer an extensive health screening service which includes a full-body advanced package at a significantly subsidised price. 

The camp will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the university’s reception area. The package will now cost ₹1,299 after its original price of ₹4,760 to make it available to all students and local residents.

The health package includes over 60 diagnostic tests, covering:

  • Complete Blood Count and blood sugar levels test
  • Thyroid and lipid profile tests
  • Liver and kidney function tests
  • Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3 levels
  • Calcium, phosphorus, and HbA1C tests

Participants must arrive at the testing site without eating anything to achieve precise results. The program targets young adults in order to create awareness about preventive healthcare and support early detection methods. 

Blood Donation Camp to Support Life-Saving Efforts

The university will conduct a Blood Donation Camp at Block 7 starting from 11:00 AM after the health camp in partnership with Kamla Nehru Hospital Shimla. 

The School of Pharmacy and Allied & Healthcare Sciences organized the camp to encourage people to donate blood while building up the local medical system. University officials explained that one blood donation can save several lives while urging students and residents to take part in the event.
