Pune leads Maharashtra's Cybersecurity overhaul with State-of-the-Art Command Center

Pune has inaugurated India’s first integrated state-level Cyber Command and Control Center, marking a significant leap forward in Maharashtra's cybersecurity infrastructure. Developed through a collaboration between L&T Technology Services Limited and the Maharashtra State Cyber Department, the state-of-the-art facility aims to bolster the state's defenses against cyber threats and ensure a resilient digital ecosystem.

Located in Mahape, the Cyber Command and Control Center is designed to manage and monitor cybersecurity operations across the state. The center is equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure and a range of integrated platforms, utilizing more than 50 global forensic technologies, 17 threat intelligence tools, and 13 cybersecurity solutions, including advanced applications of AI and blockchain technology.

Staffed by a dedicated team of over 150 cybercrime forensics experts, investigators, and technology professionals, the facility is poised to significantly enhance Maharashtra's capacity to combat and prevent cybercrimes. It will also coordinate with 50 district-level cyber police stations spread across the state, ensuring rapid response and coordinated efforts at the grassroots level.

Officials have expressed that the launch of the Cyber Command and Control Center is a landmark achievement in Maharashtra’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its cybersecurity framework. "Our goal is to provide a secure digital environment for citizens, businesses, and critical infrastructure," stated a spokesperson for the Maharashtra State Cyber Department. "This center represents a crucial step in making Maharashtra a leader in digital security."

This new facility is part of a larger statewide initiative to tackle rising cybercrime and safeguard vulnerable digital assets. As cyber threats continue to grow in scale and sophistication, Maharashtra's proactive approach to cybersecurity is setting a benchmark for other states to follow. With the Cyber Command and Control Center now operational, Maharashtra is taking a major stride toward protecting its digital future.
