The Ram Charan School of Leadership (RSOL), MIT World Peace University (WPU), Pune, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Power of Words (TPOW) to incorporate learning initiatives on emotional intelligence and leadership for students.

The collaboration will include dedicated workshops for students and faculty, as well as a semester-long audit course for BBA students, scheduled to begin in January 2027. According to MIT-WPU, the initiative will combine classroom learning with supervised fieldwork and applied practice.

Collaboration to Focus on Emotional Intelligence and Leadership

The partnership will focus on domains such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, leadership capabilities and the application in practice. MIT-WPU said the collaboration will bring together students, faculty and industry leaders through a range of learning engagements.

In addition, the university said the initiative will include an Executive Summit for industry executives, in addition to the student and faculty workshops. The university said these activities will provide participants with opportunities to engage with leadership and emotional intelligence through practical learning experiences.

BBA Audit Course to Commence in January 2027

A key element of the collaboration will involve a semester audit course for BBA students, which is slated to commence in January 2027.

The course will combine classroom sessions with supervised fieldwork and application, allowing students to interact with concepts related to emotional intelligence and leadership.

The initiative follows an emotional intelligence workshop held at RSOL on August 26, 2026, in collaboration with TPOW. The workshop brought together BBA and MBA students and focused on self-awareness, empathy and resilience as practical skills for everyday interaction and leadership situations.

RSOL and TPOW Conduct Emotional Intelligence Workshop

The August workshop introduced the Band-Bond Initiative to students and explored domains such as emotional awareness, empathy, resilience, communication, stress and anxiety. Students also worked on ways to develop a language for emotions and building habits related to emotional intelligence.

The session was attended by Deborah Sawaf, Founder and CEO of The Power of Words, and Dominic Thomas, Co-Founder of The Power of Words, as well as trainers and assistant trainers. MIT-WPU representatives, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Datta Bhalchandra Dandge and RSOL Dean Dr. Urvashi Makkar, were also present at the programme.

The MoU between RSOL and TPOW will build on these activities by conducting workshops and the planned BBA audit course, with the January 2027 course being the next significant academic component of the collaboration.
