Marking National Education Day 2025, The Neotia University (TNU) organized a two-day workshop on “E-Waste Management and Sustainable Practices,” reaffirming its commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and sustainability. The event was conducted by the Department of Basic Sciences under the School of Science and Technology.
The workshop aimed to educate students about the importance of sustainable living, waste reduction, and responsible technology use. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, participants explored key topics such as microscale load assessment, e-waste disaster management, and practical strategies for building a cleaner and greener planet.
Faculty experts guided students on the role of science and technology in combating environmental degradation and encouraged them to apply eco-friendly practices in everyday life.
The workshop emphasized how mindful disposal of electronics can help minimize pollution, conserve natural resources, and support India’s larger goal of sustainable development. Students also shared ideas for campus-based eco projects and community-driven sustainability drives.
By hosting this workshop, TNU further strengthened its vision of creating an environmentally conscious campus and nurturing future innovators who prioritize green solutions. The event concluded with a collective pledge by students and staff to promote sustainable habits within and beyond the university community
