CFTRI Mysuru Life Science Research Internship 2025 - Apply Now!

It is a golden opportunity for Life Science graduates who wish to get into research. Applications are invited for the highly competitive Life Science Research Internship 2025 at CSIR–Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, one of the premier institutions of India in the area of food science and technology. This internship offers a total of only 10 positions to provide hands-on exposure, enhance skills, and a direct route to careers in advanced research.

The objective is to provide an opportunity for young, motivated researchers with a zeal to contribute to innovations in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and other allied life sciences disciplines. Applicants must have a first-class M.Sc. or B.Tech degree in the above subjects and should be below 25 years of age on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women as per Government of India guidelines. The selected interns will work with scientists of CFTRI on advanced R&D projects, understand real-time challenges that involve food safety, nutrition, product development, bioprocessing, and public health.

The program is of two years duration and carries a consolidated monthly stipend of ₹ 24,000/- to provide the young researcher with financial stability to focus on full-time lab work and experimentation. Besides being a learning platform, the internship is a launch pad for those heading into doctoral research or into industry roles or careers in applied scientific innovation.
