GLS University Launches India's First Global B.Design in Animation, VFX & Game Dev with SAE

On 8th December, 2025, GLS University marked a historic milestone today by launching India's first and only global B.Design (Hons.) programme to be offered in Animation and VFX and Game Development in collaboration with SAE Institute in India, a global leader in creative media and technology education that is popular for its unique interdisciplinary approach of creatively technical approach. Building on a proud legacy of creative innovation, the programme marks a significant step forward in Media Education in India. 

GLS partnership with SAE Institute has given India and the university the opportunity to  expand its horizons and produce experts in animation, VFX and game development. The ceremony to sign the agreement took place at 10 AM on the GLS campus, with the presence of the important leaders such as the president of GLS Shri Sudhir Nanavati, the executive director Dr. Chandni Kapadia as well as representatives of Navitas such as CEO Jo Anthonysz, Jenna Schiller and Steve Hird.

The four-year undergraduate programme is the first in India to offer SAE globally recognised curriculum, which makes GLS the only approved campus to offer SAE certification. Project-based learning in the state of the art studios exposes the students to practical mastery in the fields of 2D/3D animation, visual effects, motion graphics, game design, and GenAI software such as Maya, 3D Max, and Adobe Suite. GLS graduates gain a dual qualification B.Design (Hons.) and SAE international certification, which opens the door to SAE's global alumni network at companies like Netflix, Warner Bros., and Sony Music.​
