The Department of Physics at Adamas University's School of Basic and Applied Sciences organized the first event of Academia-Industry Meet 2026 today. This hybrid event brought academic studies together with energy industry practices through an expert lecture.
"Bridging Academia and Industry in Energy Technology" featured Dr. Mandira Majumder from PCBL Chemical Limited.. She presented the students with industry experiences and opportunities available for Physics students in the energy industry. The lecture occurred at 2:30 PM IST on 30 January 2026.
Students participated in the lecture both on campus and online through Zoom. The event was free for all, requiring prior registration through the official link, which allowed more students to participate from across India, both on campus and online.
The lecture covered the difference between academic studies in Physics in universities and actual energy industry job requirements. Dr. Majumder demonstrated to the students how they could apply their academic studies to actual energy industry jobs, which is a rapidly growing area.
