Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) is organising the 5th Shodh Shikhar Conference on February 6-7, 2026. The conference will bring together India's leading scientists and experts on innovation to discuss "Innovations for Impact- Advancing Green Technologies and SDGs." It promises insightful discussions on sustainable development goals, renewable energy and climate technologies and will make RNTU a national hub for research on green innovation.
About Shodh Shikhar Conference
The conference is focused on Sustainable Development Goals. Under the theme "Sustainable Goals Development," Shodh Shikhar 2026 will seek practical solutions to India's environmental challenges, including renewable energy upgrades and climate resilient agriculture. The two-day hybrid event will be attended by over 500 researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and 1200+ presenters, both offline and online.
Registrations opened on October 15, 2025, with the initial deadline of December 15 extended twice, first to December 30, then finally to January 20, 2026 due to overwhelming researcher response. The event unfolds across RNTU's main campus, uniting all 17+ university departments as host departments and audience participants. Attendees can choose from 30 sessions running in 10 parallel tracks (totaling 40 sessions) featuring the visionary speaker lineup alongside advanced research presentations.
Shodh Shikhar Speakers List
Dr.Vishal Choudhary, Scientist 'F', Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India is coming to share his insights. As India's chief science advisor, he provides expert insight on national innovation policy and the deployment of green technologies. He will share India's roadmap to achieve net-zero through indigenous R&D and public-private partnerships.
Dr. Aparna N, Group Director, NRSC Hyderabad, brings ISRO's earth observation expertise. With decades of experience using satellites for monitoring, she will discuss applications of remote sensing for sustainable agriculture, disaster management, and urban planning. Her work contributes to SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
Dr Neeta Choubey Sharma, manager publications (english), Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute Of Good Governance And Policy Analysis. She is a former Professor & HOD as well as an author of five books with wide national and international publications and editorial roles. Her work bridges the gap between academic innovation and real-world policy implementation.
Ms. Sunaina Bhatnagar, Scientist 'B' at Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Bhopal is a part of this powerful lineup. With 16+ years of experience in forensic science, expertise in Toxicology, Chemistry, NDPS & SOC, who has handled 300+ SOC and 100+ NDPS cases, assisted in 1,000+ forensic investigations, is coming with her exclusive insights. She was a part of several high-profile cases including IED recoveries, Delhi Riots-2020, and major homicide cases. She is also an expert witness before Hon'ble Courts; commended by DCP, Delhi.
Mr. Michael Schklowski, founder of Agri-Inputs Farmer Finance & Market Linkage (FarmRise One), has an international perspective on venture capital for Indian agritech innovation. With extensive experience in precision farming and food supply chain tech, he will be speaking about global investment trends to support SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and scalable and climate smart solutions for Indian farmers.
Dr. Vinod Shivrain, Head of Crop Protection Development at Syngenta India, presents the innovation of the private sector in sustainable agriculture. He specialises in biological crop solutions and integrated pest management to reduce chemical use and encourage climate-resilient farming. His corporate perspective adds to academic work.
Dr. Rajat Sandhir, chemistry professor at Panjab University's Hargobind Khorana Biocentre, is also gracing the conference. He is a senior biochemist with 30 years of experience in neurodegenerative research & brain health, author of 200+ papers and is ranked among the World's Top 2% Scientists - Stanford researchers from Panjab University.
