The increasing interdependence of media, technology, and digital transformation became the focus of the AI Fest 2026 at Chandigarh University. It was hosted by Avinash Kaul, CEO - Broadcast & Publishing at Network18 who provided an insight in the industry on the role of artificial intelligence in transforming the media industry.
In his talk, Kaul discussed how AI-based production, real-time analytics, and digital-first storytelling influence contemporary newsrooms. He discussed the way that artificially intelligent software is transforming how content is produced, distributed, and consumed as well as how content is generated and how content is monetized on broadcasting and publishing sites.
Meeting students and young innovators directly, Kaul advised them to pay attention to ethics in writing, clarity of ideas, and creative storytelling. He stressed that technology must increase trust, accuracy and meaningful communication instead of watering down the standards of journalism.
Once again, AI Fest 2026 supported its bigger mission, which is to create a bridge between industry and academia. Chandigarh University invited the best media leaders to the campus, which provided a platform to have a reality check about the challenges and opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence and digital media.
The festival took the discussion beyond coding and calculation and instead emphasised the idea of how AI would have a tangible effect on industries. In this way, Chandigarh University remains an innovative, industry-oriented, and future-oriented education institution.
