This course targets the enabling of participants to understand the UNESCO mandate, while strengthening their academic and technical competencies through real-life activities.
The deadline for application, as outlined in the call, is 31 December 2025, and shall be made online through the UNESCO website.
The applicant must at least be 20 years old and currently enrolled in a graduate school (Master's, PhD or its equivalent) during the application period. Those who completed Master's or PhD degree in the last 12 months prior to application are also qualified to apply. However, those with a bachelor's degree alone but do not plan to pursue higher studies shall not be qualified.
A proficiency in either English or French, with writing and speaking fluency, is required. Knowledge of the other official language is an asset. Other requirements include computer proficiency, working in teams, and having excellent communication skills.
Depending on the assignment, the length of an assignment can be anything from one to six months. UNESCO does not pay for any of its interns, so candidates are expected to obtain their own visas and pay all travel and living costs.
The applicants' profiles will be retained in the portal for UNESCO internships, and later, they will be placed according to various needs of many sections. Besides, there are areas where the internship can be offered including education, culture, communication and information, natural sciences, digital business solutions, the Bureau of Human Resource Management amongst others
