IIT Madras Summer Fellowship 2026: ₹15,000 Stipend, Research Internship Opens — Eligibility, Dates, How to Apply

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is inviting applications for its Summer Fellowship Program 2026, a 2, month research internship for students inclined towards academic research and innovation. The program provides an opportunity to undertake a project under the mentorship of IIT faculty covering engineering, science, humanities and management disciplines.

Fellowship Duration & Stipend

Program Dates: May 18 July 17, 2026

Monthly Stipend: 15, 000

Accommodation: Hostel and mess available (subject to availability, extra cost)

The fellows will be involved in live research projects and thus will be exposed to laboratory techniques, academic writing, and problem solving methodologies commonly used in higher education research.

The applicants have to upload the photograph, Aadhaar, mark sheets, bona fide certificate and category certificate (if applicable). The incomplete forms will be automatically disqualified.
