GATE COAP 2026 Registration Begins at IIT Roorkee; Check Eligibility, Dates, and How to Apply

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has started the registration for the first time Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2026, which is a single window platform for MTech admissions and PSU recruitments through GATE. Interested and eligible candidates may register online.

In order to apply for an offer, candidates must have a valid GATE score of the year 2024 or 2025 or 2026 and must be Indian nationals. Those who have more than one GATE scorecard have to use the best one (highest score or best rank) for the registration.

The COAP 2026 admissions will entail multiple sessions for colleges and PSUs to offer admissions and recruitments. Round 1 will be open for admitting purposes only from May 11 to May 13, 2026. The last round, Round 10, will be almost month-long from June 8 2026 to July 10, 2026. Candidates will be viewing offers and making decisions on offers in these rounds.

The portal features top institutions of the country that include Indian Institute of Science and leading IITs, e.g. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and Indian Institute of Technology Madras, etc.

Prospective candidates can open the official website, click on the registration link, fill in the GATE registration number, along with email ID and mobile number, create login credentials, and finally fill out the application form. Once submitted, candidates should download and keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

One should keep in mind that COAP is meant only as a platform for viewing and accepting offers. In order to be eligible for admission or recruitment, candidates have to submit applications to each of the participating institutes or PSU separately.
