IIT Delhi Opens Applications for Fifth Batch of Executive Programme in Brand Management

The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) of IIT Delhi has opened applications for the fifth batch of its Executive Programme in Brand Management, aimed at working professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders seeking to strengthen their expertise in branding and marketing.

The six-month programme is designed for professionals working in areas such as branding, marketing, communications and entrepreneurship, as well as candidates from other related domains.

IIT Delhi brand management programme: Eligibility

Applicants must be graduates of a recognised university. The programme is primarily intended for working professionals and individuals with an interest or professional background in brand management and related business functions.

The course will be conducted entirely online, with classes scheduled on weekends, allowing working professionals to pursue the programme alongside their existing commitments.

IIT Delhi Executive Programme: Fee and certification

According to IIT Delhi, the programme fee is Rs 1,20,000 plus GST, while the application fee is Rs 1,000 plus GST.

Candidates who successfully complete the programme and meet the prescribed requirements will receive a certificate of successful completion from CEP, IIT Delhi.

The programme is positioned as an opportunity for professionals to develop a deeper understanding of brand strategy and apply contemporary branding concepts across different industries.

Professionals from diverse sectors

The programme has attracted participants from a wide range of industries, highlighting the growing relevance of brand-management skills beyond traditional marketing roles.

The latest cohort included professionals from Media and Publishing (20.7 per cent), Hospitality and Retail (19.5 per cent), Information Technology (13.4 per cent), Healthcare and Life Sciences (11.6 per cent), Education and Research (10.4 per cent), Manufacturing (7.3 per cent), Consulting and Professional Services (4.9 per cent) and other sectors (12.2 per cent).

The diverse participation reflects the role of branding across industries, where organisations increasingly view brands as strategic assets rather than solely as marketing tools.

IIT Delhi on the importance of brand management

IIT Delhi said organisations are increasingly relying on strong brands to influence customer preferences, differentiate themselves from competitors and create long-term business value.

Prof. Mahim Sagar, Professor and Former Head of the Department of Management Studies at IIT Delhi, said brands are increasingly shaped by strategic thinking, consumer understanding, innovation and technology.

He added that changing markets and evolving customer expectations require professionals to understand how business strategy can be translated into sustainable brand value.

The programme, according to IIT Delhi, is intended to provide participants with practical frameworks and contemporary perspectives that can be applied across industries and business environments.
