Lucknow The EdInbox Regional Higher Education Summit 2026 concluded on April 24 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, bringing together a diverse mix of educators, policymakers, university leaders, and students for a day-long dialogue on the future of education and careers.
The summit, which ran from morning to evening, served as a collaborative platform to discuss critical themes such as skill-based education, emerging career pathways, and stronger industry-academia linkages.
The event was inaugurated by Adarsh Kumar, who emphasized the urgent need to move beyond textbook learning. He highlighted that modern education must foster practical exposure, research aptitude, and scientific thinking, pointing to forensic science as a rapidly expanding field with strong career potential.
Other prominent speakers included A.K. Srivastava, T. P. Tripathi, Deepti Shukla, and Ujjwal K. Choudhury, among others.
A key highlight this year was the focus on forensic science, where experts simplified complex topics such as DNA profiling, fingerprint analysis, toxicology, and digital forensics. Sessions demonstrated how microscopic evidence can play a decisive role in criminal investigations and how scientific findings are presented in courts.
Adding an academic perspective, T. P. Singh elaborated on the concepts of interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary learning. He explained how traditional “terminal skills” are increasingly being replaced by continuous, lifelong learning models, urging students to stay adaptable in a fast-evolving job market.
The summit also featured discussions on artificial intelligence, creative industries, and the implementation of the National Education Policy. Notably, Rhitu Rajey from Gemini Solutions spoke about the growing role of AI in engineering. She highlighted how artificial intelligence is transforming code writing and testing, making development processes faster and more efficient while opening new opportunities for aspiring engineers.
Special segments such as the Regional Principals Meet, Academic Leadership Dialogue, and School–University Connect Initiative encouraged meaningful exchanges between institutions and educators.
Students remained at the heart of the event, actively participating in interactive sessions, competitions, and career counseling. Many engaged directly with experts, seeking clarity on career paths, entrance exams, and future opportunities.
The event was hosted by RJ Puneet and RJ Manisha, whose lively engagement added energy to the proceedings.
Several educators and institutions were also recognised under the ‘Principal Award of Honor’ for their contributions to the education sector.
Organisers noted that such platforms are vital in aligning education with industry needs while helping students make informed career choices. The summit concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a day dedicated to learning, dialogue, and future-ready education.
